Gallimaufry - This ‘n That!

Hey everybody!

This is just a quick note to bring you up to date on some things that are going on behind the scenes.

Slideshows

One of the wonderful things about the old Vegas Wineaux site was the inclusion of slideshows that featured pictures of our friends at tastings. We had pics of home tastings, club tastings, winemaker and store tastings. Remember our Elvis pics? What fun! Well, with the revamping of the site, the old slideshows have gone away.

But there’s good news! Beginning immediately, I will be out and about with camera in hand to take pictures for updating and making new (and improved!) slideshows for your viewing pleasure.

This week will be the start of my quest, beginning with the event at Marché Bacchus tomorrow night. If you’re there and see me, stop by and say hi! Otherwise, I’ll see you Khoury’s on Thursday and some of our other favorite hangouts over the course of the next few weeks. I have new technology that will display the slideshows beautifully, and I think that you will enjoy them. You may see yourself online!

Travel Page

It’s still very much in draft mode, but the travel page for Cruise Holidays of Summerlin and Vegas Wineaux is coming together beautifully. As usual, I’m suffering from decision angst on some things, but it promises to be informative and beautiful to look at. Some of the wine cruises coming up are gobsmacking (watching wayyy too much BBC) and will be certain to excite you! The Wineries of Mexico are only the beginning!

Forum

Vegas Wineaux is working on a Forum where people can stop by and post questions, opinions, suggestions, requests, etc., and receive feedback from fellow readers! This is a very big development project, but look for it in the early fall. This is as exciting as launching a new web page, but will allow for a lot of interaction among readers, locals, tourists, and those who just want to hang out.

Classes

Classes are being scheduled even as we speak. Because we are so busy in several areas, the number of classes for the rest of the year will be limited, but will have even more to offer than before. Stay tuned for more information!
