Tobin James - From Paso to Vegas, Baby!
This was more fun than you can imagine. It was a great weekend of visiting Paso Robles wineries. What topped it for me was that the very next weekend, Tobin James showed up in Vegas to continue the party!
Gotta tell you a bit about Tobin James. He is unusual among winemakers in that he has an almost "Rock Star" persona, and people go nuts whenever he’s around. But fear not; his natural humility has him bewildered about the whole thing! However, that Rock Star rep has all kinds of fun things happening around the winery.
For instance, my traveling companions and I learned about a woman (a nurse, we were told) who was thrown out of the Tobin James Winery because she jumped up on the bar and started stripping. Now, it’s only a rumor, but you never can tell about those things (see raised eyebrow and smirk on face).
